Peter van Dijk tekent profcontract

	Peter van Dijk ziet zijn toewijding en resultaten beloont met een profcontract bij Jamis Sutter Home Pro Cycling Team. Peter Van Dijk and Kyle Wamsley Add Strength and Speed to Core Squad
Northvale, NJ (September 27, 2011) -- Wrapping up a solid season with victories and podiums at stage races such as the Tour of Elk Grove and major one-day events, the Jamis/Sutter Home Pro Cycling Team is ready to ride for 2012. Directeur Sportif Sebastian Alexandre announced that the core of the squad has re-signed for next season, including Luis Amaran, Fernando Antogna, Alejandro and Anibal Borrajo, Jamey Driscoll, Eric Schildge, John Simes, and Tyler Wren.
Also returning to Jamis/Sutter Home for the 2012 season is Kyle Wamsley, who has raced with the team in previous years throughout his pro career. As Alexandre explains, "Kyle is a great addition to our sprinting formula. Back in 2008 and 2009, the combination of Kyle and the Borrajo brothers gave us lots of wins." For the last two years, Wamsley has raced with Bissell Pro Cycling. This season, he won the Wilmington Grand Prix Road Race and finished fifth in the USPRO Road Racing Championships. Wamsley is known for his aggressive racing style, which Alexandre expects to capitalize on in 2012
Alexandre is adding new talent to the Jamis/Sutter Home line-up as well. Peter Van Dijk, who has been racing in Spain with Azysa-Conor WRC, has signed with Jamis/Sutter Home for the 2012 season. "Peter is a very talented climber and a great addition to our squad," said Alexandre. "With hilly races like the SRAM Tour of the Gila, the Amgen Tour of California, and the Tour of Utah on our calendar, we expect he will deliver outstanding results."
Van Dijk, who grew up outside of Amsterdam and currently trains in Pamplona, Spain, will make his US pro debut with Jamis/Sutter Home. In 2011, Van Dijk won Spain's popular Volta Ciclista ao Ribeiro and the Clásica Ciudad de Torredonjimeno, part of the prestigious Copa España series of one-day races. He also won stages in the Tour du Piémont Pyréneén in France and the Memorial Luis Muñoz Abiñanigo.
